Trump Administration Launches CBP Home App to Encourage Illegal Aliens’ Self-Deportation

The Trump administration introduced a new immigration enforcement tool, the CBP Home app, on Monday, March 10th. The app is designed to facilitate the self-deportation of illegal immigrants. It replaces CBP One, which the Biden administration expanded to allow migrants to schedule appointments for parole into the United States.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the transition, stating that the new app aligns with the administration’s efforts to restore order to the immigration system. Effective immediately, CBP One will update to CBP Home, eliminating the ability to use the app for parole-related purposes.

“The Biden administration exploited the CBP One App to allow more than 1 million aliens to illegally enter the United States. With the launching of the CBP Home App, we are restoring integrity to our immigration system,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.

CBP Home introduces a self-reporting feature called “Submit Intent to Depart,” allowing individuals in the country illegally to declare their intention to leave. The app also provides an option to verify their departure, a function available only to those previously paroled into the U.S.

“The CBP Home App gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream. If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return,” Noem added.

The launch of CBP Home comes as part of broader immigration policy changes under the Trump administration. Since taking office, the administration has halted using CBP One for parole appointments, suspended new parole applications, and allowed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to revoke parole statuses.

With these latest measures, the administration continues focusing on strict border enforcement and deportation efforts.
