Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday, January 20th. In his inaugural address, he promised to lead a “revolution of common sense,” vowing to restore a “strong, safe, and prosperous America” for future generations.

Trump outlined his goals, indicating swift action through executive orders targeting immigration, fossil fuel development, and diversity and inclusion programs within the federal government. “From this moment on, America’s decline is over,” Trump declared, calling it a mandate to reverse what he termed a “horrible betrayal” and to reclaim sovereignty, safety, and justice.

Due to freezing temperatures, the ceremony took place indoors at the Capitol Rotunda, marking the first indoor swearing-in in 40 years. Prominent figures, including Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg, attended as political and business leaders showed support for the new administration.

As part of his return to office, Trump also introduced updated content on the Whitehouse.gov website, featuring an opening video with the slogan “America is Back.” This signals the beginning of his administration’s focus on restoring the country’s strength and its position on the global stage.

Trump’s second presidency follows his controversial first term and ongoing criminal cases. He has promised to issue pardons for those involved in the January 6th Capitol riot and to implement his policies quickly. As he takes office, the nation watches how his bold plans unfold.

With numerous challenges ahead, including foreign policy issues and contentious domestic policies, Trump’s early days in office will set the tone for his administration.
